OET correction services differ in price, bundle size, turnaround and the kind of comments supplied. Compare the package with the number of letters you can complete and revise before its deadline.
This is a comparison of published offers, checked on 18 September 2026. We have not purchased these services, timed their delivery or independently scored their feedback quality. The table distinguishes advertised terms from observed performance.

What makes these offers different?
Feedback quantity. A four-letter pack and an eight-letter pack can support different revision schedules. Neither number tells you whether a revised version of the same letter consumes another credit.
Interaction. Written comments, a replacement letter, a video explanation and a conversation are different deliverables. A live session can be useful when you cannot understand a written explanation, but the session's duration and scope need to be explicit.
Task compatibility. Check whether the provider accepts your profession and the kind of task you intend to submit. Do not buy a service because it says “healthcare” while leaving the precise version unspecified.
Turnaround. The time advertised is a service promise, not our measured result. Also ask what starts the clock: payment, upload, acceptance of the task or the next working day.
Your right to ask why. A correction that changes a sentence without explaining the problem can leave you unable to transfer the lesson to a new task. Ask whether clarification is included before treating two packages as equivalent.
The effective-cost calculation
Use this equation:
Effective cost per used feedback cycle = total amount paid ÷ feedback cycles you actually complete.
A cycle means submitting an attempt, understanding the feedback and doing the follow-up work. This is a planning measure, not a claim that all cycles have equal educational value.
Consider an illustrative pack costing 40 currency units with eight credits. Using all eight gives a nominal cost of 5 per credit. Using only two before access ends makes the cost 20 per used credit. The merchant's pack did not change; your usable value did.
Now suppose another provider charges 25 for one correction with a usable explanation and an included clarification. You cannot conclude that the eight-credit pack is better merely from the division. Price normalization helps; it does not replace inspection of the delivered support.
Use the feedback-cost worksheet for the calculation method. Keep different currencies separate unless you use a dated conversion and include payment fees.
Which purchase fits which situation?
| Your situation | Sensible first comparison |
|---|---|
| You have never received individual feedback | One correction or a small pack with a clear sample |
| You understand feedback and have time for several attempts | A multi-letter pack, subject to expiry and revision terms |
| You struggle to interpret written comments | An option with a defined discussion or clarification channel |
| You need help in several skills | A structured course, not a writing pack by default |
| Your existing evidence already meets the requirement | No new writing purchase solely for that requirement |
These are editorial decision rules, not an assessment of your proficiency or a quality ranking of providers.
Inspect a sample using four questions
Does it identify the exact passage that caused concern? Does it explain why that passage is a problem for the reader or task? Does it give a repair that preserves the supplied facts? Does it show a next action you can practise independently?
A sample can establish the format of feedback. It cannot establish that your own work will improve by the same amount as a testimonial or that the service will always perform consistently.
Our original unscored feedback example demonstrates the difference between correction and explanation. It is not evidence that any provider delivered that feedback.
Before paying
Have a specific letter ready, a period available to revise it and a clear deadline. Save the exact package name and the terms shown at purchase. Avoid sending real patient information; use authorised practice material or fictional notes.
A provider's estimated score is not an OET result. No purchase on this page is an assurance that you will meet a regulator's threshold.
Choose your next step: Benchmark product profile, SLC product profile, or course versus feedback. Profiles link directly to the official service pages; the comparison itself is not a checkout.
